About This Project

On Monday, July 27th, a 1:00 pm commemoration of the 73rd anniversary of the Korean War Armistice was held at Wichita’s Veterans Memorial Park.  This event was held to honor those who served in that conflict, and to remind guests of the significance of the Korean War.  After the National Anthem, Pledge of Allegiance and Invocation, Master of Ceremonies Bob Fugit addressed those in attendance.  Bugler John Noonan played the Navy Hymn and the American Legion Post 4 Honor Guard provided a 3-volley rifle salute.  Buglers John Noonan and Don Hansen sounded “Echo Taps” to conclude the event.  (Photos are courtesy of Mike Nash.)
