About This Project

In remembrance of the sons and daughters who gave their lives while serving in the Armed Forces, the American Gold Star Mothers Wichita chapter dedicated this memorial to the mothers of fallen heroes.

 

Dawning the organization’s name and the symbolic Gold Star, the memorial reads:

“Our Legacy

Out of tragedy we were formed

Out of love we continue

Representing the noble principles for which

They fought and died”

The phrase “Perpetuating the noble principles for which they fought and died” is etched on the back.
