About This Project

On Sunday, September 26, 2021 six Gold Star Mothers and their loved ones gathered at the Gold Star Mother Memorial in Wichita Veterans Park.

 

The ceremony opened with the playing of the National Anthem and the invocation.

 

Speakers Dominic Cirincione, 88th Readiness Division Regional Family Programs Director, John Schoen, LTC Ret. Army Reserve Ambassador-Kansas and Donna Temple American Gold Star Mothers addressed those in attendance.

 

Kansas Army Reserve Ambassadors John Schoen, LTC Ret. and Brent Trout, LTC Ret. paid recognition of all Gold Star Mothers and families.

 

Then followed a benediction and a moment of silence.

 

The ceremony concluded with the playing of Taps.
