About This Project

On May 27th 2024, a Memorial Day Commemoration was held at the Flag Pavilion of Wichita’s Veterans Memorial Park.  Navy Veteran Bob Fugit was the Master of Ceremonies and Army Veteran Sam Brent was the guest speaker.  The Marine Corps League provided the 3-volley rifle salute to conclude the ceremony.  Memorial Day is when we honor and remember those who paid the ultimate sacrifice in the service of our nation.  Also on this day, we acknowledge the Gold Star Mothers and Families who suffered the loss of their loved ones.  Photos are courtesy of Mike Nash.
