SUMMARY:2025 Commemoration of VE Day (80th Anniversary)
DESCRIPTION:On May 8th\, 2025 at 12:00 noon\, the Veterans Memorial Park Board will commemorate the 80th anniversary of VE (Victory in Europe) Day.  The location will be at the Park’s WWII (Kilroy) Memorial.  On this date in 1945\, World War II was effectively ended in the European Theater.  This commemoration will include the National Anthem\, Pledge of Allegiance\, Invocation\, brief remarks by the Master of Ceremonies (Bryson Allen) and will conclude with the sounding of Taps. \nThe public is invited to attend but since this is a relatively short event\, seating will not be provided.  Guests who wish to sit are advised to bring their own chairs.
