Vietnam Veterans Recognition Day

March 29 @ 12:00 pm - 1:00 pm

In 2017 President Trump designated March 29th as National Vietnam Veterans Day. This was the last day – in 1973 – when US combat troops left South Vietnam.

In recognition of Vietnam Veterans, a brief ceremony will be held at WVMP’s Vietnam War Veterans Memorial  involving:

  • Introduction and opening remarks
  • National Anthem played by a trumpet duet
  • Chaplain invocation
  • 3 Vietnam Veterans speaking on their Vietnam experiences
  • Air Capitol Detachment of the Marine Corps League 21-gun salute
  • Echo Taps” played on the trumpet
