2026 Veterans Day Commemoration at Veterans Memorial Park

On Wednesday, November 11th at 11:00 am at the Flag Pavilion of Wichita’s Veterans Memorial Park, a ceremony will be held to honor all United States Military Veterans.  The Colors will be presented by the Wilbur Middle School Color Guard prior to the National Anthem.  This will be followed by a recitation of the Pledge of Allegiance and invocation.  The Master of Ceremonies will offer a few remarks and introduce our guest speaker:  USAF Veteran and Retired Colonel David Dennis.  Following the speaker’s remarks, a bugler will play Amazing Grace.  To conclude the event, a three-volley rifle salute will be fired, followed by the sounding of Taps.

This event is open to the public.  Limited seating will be provided but guests are always welcome to bring their own lawn chairs.
