2025 Korean War Armistice Day Commemoration

On Sunday, July 27th at 1:00 pm there will be a brief ceremony at Wichita’s Veterans Memorial Park at the Kansas Korean War Veterans Memorial to commemorate the 72nd anniversary of the Korean War Armistice and to honor those who served in that conflict.  The ceremony will begin with the National Anthem, recitation of the Pledge of Allegiance and an invocation.  The Master of Ceremonies will offer a few remarks about the significance of the event that effectively ended the Korean War.  After a 3-volley rifle salute by the Legion Post 4 Honor Guard, Taps will be sounded to conclude the ceremony.  The public is invited to attend but since this will be a short ceremony, no seating will be provided.  Guests are welcome to bring their own lawn chairs if they do not want to stand.
