About This Project

On June 6th, 2023, the 79th anniversary of the WWII D-Day invasion was commemorated at Veterans Memorial Park.  A small group gathered to hear the National Anthem and recite the Pledge of Allegiance.  There was an invocation, short address on the significance of the day and finally the playing of Taps.  Although there are very few remaining participants of the D-Day invasion alive today, it is important to honor all WWII veterans, especially those that paid the ultimate sacrifice.
