About This Project

On May 29th, 2023, Veterans Memorial Park – Wichita hosted a Memorial Day Commemoration at the Park’s Flag Pavilion.  The event featured a rifle salute by the Marine Corps League, a bugler playing the National Anthem and Taps, as well as a guest speaker – Herb Duncan.  Herb is best known for his contributions to the Kansas Honor Flight organization, and he offered his comments on the significance of Memorial Day to those Honor Flight Veterans as well as to the country.
