Sponsored by the Pearl Harbor Survivors Association, this memorial honors the December 7, 1941, attack on Pearl Harbor. Over 2,400 military personnel and civilians died because of the attack. The battle of Pearl Harbor marks the entry of the United States into World War II against the Axis Powers.
Represented as a stone slab with the words “Remember Pearl Harbor, a day that will live in infamy” carved in, the memorial details the United States casualties from the battle. The phrase “Lest we forget” follows underneath. On the back, members of the Pearl Harbor Survivors Association are listed.
