About This Project

The Berlin Blockade (1948–49) was the conflict of the Cold War. The Berlin Airlift Veterans Association gathered for a reunion in Wichita in September of 2019. During the reunion, a new Memorial to the Berlin Airlift was unveiled in Wichita Veterans Memorial Park.
